The 2002 “Boa sofa” by the Campana Brothers looks like a neon-blue pile of organised mess. We wonder if you could just push, pull and squash it a bit to change its shape – in which case it would be the perfect #sofa for strangely shaped living rooms or rooms with unusual dimensions. Otherwise we’re stuck with searching for the ideal sofa by size. #livingroom #decor
This is Sandro Santantonio’s Giovannetti Collezioni Dune Modular Sofa from 1993, with a wonderfully rich earthy terracotta color rarely seen since the #80s. While maybe the modular nature of the sofa is not groundbreaking, the shape of the end elements is definitely unusual. If you are looking for a configuration to fit a given space, check out our sofa listings by size, or go ahead and buy something of this wonderful orange-ish color. #livingroom #interior #insipration
A striking table by Lex Pott from the Fragments collection. Almost like an objet trouvé, a piece of rock seemingly straight from a quarry is intersected by a beautifully polished plane. Why not get this eternal look in the form of a marble-top table? #diningroom #design #inspiration #marble
Although I have never been a fan of the contour lines of 3D-printed models (especially fast prototyped ones), they do provide some aesthetic that was discovered and used before, like on this 1988 chair called Slice Chair by Mathias Bengtsson. It looks pretty wide, though, and leaves little room for manoeuvre as the elevations and depressions on the seat are fixed. If you are looking for something narrower (and perhaps softer!), check out our listing of 60cm wide armchairs.
A brussel sprout-inspired #midcentury chair by Michel Cadestin from the 1970s. Shop for the #retro look among the green occasional #chairs on Furniture Ferret. #interiors #design
“Baradelo” by Ketsuo Kitaoka (1988) looks much like a sleek, #minimalist slice of raspberry cake made of steel, perfect to evoke that last century nostalgia. If you like the color, you could add some oomph to your home #design with a pink #chair. (This could easily become kitschy, though, so don’t overdo it.)
A pretty(,) haunting piece by Sandra He – would be perfect for black cats. Look at all sorts of beds by size (even tall ones!) on Furniture Ferret. #interior #roominspo #bedroom
This musical chair #design really stands out in any music-lovers living room. It may go well with piano-styled sofas and tables that you can buy on Furniture Ferret! #roominspo
The famous Miss Blanche Chair is from 1988 and by Shiro Kuramata. It doesn’t seem to have lost any of its impact and its notion of destroyed beauty. Why not check out our list of pink dining chairs if you fancy this aesthetic? #streetcar #interiordesign #80s
The chair is an homage to Blanche DuBois from Tennessee William’s A Streetcar Named Desire – the Ms DuBois who fails to acknowledge time passing and hopes to still retain her youthful good looks, at least in the dark.
