Quirky Cabinet

This cabinet with its askew doors looks straight out of Alice in Wonderland. Thankfully the shelves are straight, so it is actually usable! #roominspo #kitchen

Slinky chairs

These metal chairs and stools by Mira Bergh and Josefin Zachrisson can remind one of the classic 40’s spring toy. Captivating in their simplicity, this seat system is the perfect way of stealing a bit of chic bus stop aesthetics into your home. Check out more steel chairs on Furniture Ferret. #chair #dining

Pipe chair

The Septem Stool by Axel Chay is made out of aluminium pipes with a mirror polish finish. It definitely is unusual and has real presence, although it seems unclear if it is comfortable and practical. Available on The Future Perfect, in any case, it can add to any #industrial #design home with its unique look. If you like it, also check out the silver stools on Furniture Ferret. #roominspo

Wave sofa

This #sofa was designed by Archizoom in 1967, and consists of two simple waves cut from a polyurethane block. Superonda, as it is called, can be stacked, configured into a bed, or a sofa, and comes in white, red or black, and has an unmistakably #pop air to it. It is available just under $6,500 from The Future Perfect. However, if you are looking for a less pricey option, take a look at the designer sofa beds listed on Furniture Ferret. #70s #livingroom #popart

A mess of a sofa

The 2002 “Boa sofa” by the Campana Brothers looks like a neon-blue pile of organised mess. We wonder if you could just push, pull and squash it a bit to change its shape – in which case it would be the perfect #sofa for strangely shaped living rooms or rooms with unusual dimensions. Otherwise we’re stuck with searching for the ideal sofa by size. #livingroom #decor

Dune modular sofa

This is Sandro Santantonio’s Giovannetti Collezioni Dune Modular Sofa from 1993, with a wonderfully rich earthy terracotta color rarely seen since the #80s. While maybe the modular nature of the sofa is not groundbreaking, the shape of the end elements is definitely unusual. If you are looking for a configuration to fit a given space, check out our sofa listings by size, or go ahead and buy something of this wonderful orange-ish color. #livingroom #interior #insipration

Mountain dining table

A striking table by Lex Pott from the Fragments collection. Almost like an objet trouvé, a piece of rock seemingly straight from a quarry is intersected by a beautifully polished plane. Why not get this eternal look in the form of a marble-top table? #diningroom #design #inspiration #marble

80s chair that looks 3D printed

Although I have never been a fan of the contour lines of 3D-printed models (especially fast prototyped ones), they do provide some aesthetic that was discovered and used before, like on this 1988 chair called Slice Chair by Mathias Bengtsson. It looks pretty wide, though, and leaves little room for manoeuvre as the elevations and depressions on the seat are fixed. If you are looking for something narrower (and perhaps softer!), check out our listing of 60cm wide armchairs.
