How to measure the space to fit a hob in?

Furniture Ferret: Measure both the width and the depth of the space where you'd like to put a hob. The most accurate way is to use a measuring tape. Hold the beginning down at the edge of the area, and let it run to the opposite edge. If the distance is larger than what you can stretch to with your arms, ask someone else for help, or divide the distance into multiple parts. You can do this by either holding the tape down partway through and continuing running it while letting the first end go, or by marking how far you measured on the floor or wall, and reposition the tape to complete the measurement. If you want to avoid drawing on the floor, you can position a pointy object like a pair of scissors there instead. Make sure to avoid dead places where the piece of furniture won't be able to go like decorative strips. Also don't forget to take the height of the space and the item into account wherever the ceiling is low like in loft rooms.

How can one coordinate colours?

Furniture Ferret: The two main things to consider for everything colour is balance and associations. Balance simply means that the colours should ideally be coordinated in some way, so that it looks like a unit. Usual techniques to achieve this are considering a colour wheel, and selecting colours that are either quite close to each other, or quite far, like on different halves of the wheel (giving you complementary colours like blue and yellow) or on different thirds (for example, cyan-orange-purple). Associations with and emotions connected to colours are equally important. It is quite probable that these associations are cultural and learnt, which means that they can be very different in different cultures or just for different people. Blue is often associated with productivity, but also stability, calmness and even sadness. Green is clearly the colour of nature, and is said to be connected to safety, luck and envy (though in other cultures envy is yellow). Pink is thought to evoke kindness, nurturing, romance and calmness, but it was the choice for boys' and men's clothes over many decades. Red is thought of as the colour of friendship, energy, leadership, desire and revenge, which is a very wide range of emotions. But it is clear that in nature, it means danger and importance, so it should be put next to a calm colour to allow the eye to rest. These emotions point in so many different directions that these guidelines all seem to boil down to just one piece of advice: pause and consider what the colour means for you.

How do I know if a hob is for a good price?

You can check what the expected price of a product in this section is by looking at the median value. The median price is 370 British pounds which means that exactly half of the hobs costs more and half costs less. Most of the hobs that match your search are priced between 95 British pounds and 2,999 British pounds. This means that 90% of the products are between the two figures. Our philosophy

We aim to allow every one of us to live comfortably even if they only own a small space they call home. We search the Internet for thousands of desks, cabinets, shelves, shoe cabinets, beds, armchairs and so on by size and colour, to find just the right piece for you to go next to the window and turn the room into a dressing corner, or to find that extra long bed that is still narrow enough to squeeze through the bedroom door. From the hall to the living room, don't just live around furniture - have furniture that lives with you.

Did you know? We also operate in other countries. You can visit gray hobs in the US.
