How can I find hobs by width, height and length?

Finding hobs in search engines on the web by size is not straightforward as search engines are best at finding text only. Also, when searching for hobs to fit a given space, a bit smaller pieces would also suit. Even if some outlets allow searching for hobs by measurements, searching many webshops at the same time needs a different solution. This is where Furniture Ferret comes to the rescue. Our systems scour many outlets on the Internet and list tens of thousands of products so you can find the one that fits perfectly.

Questions and answers

What is the best way to measure the space to fit a hob in?

Measure the width and the depth of the floor space where you'd like to put a hob. The most accurate way is to use a measuring tape. Hold the start down at the edge of the area, and let it run to the opposite edge. If the distance is larger than what you can stretch to with your arms, ask someone else to help, or split the distance up into multiple parts. You can do this by either holding the tape down halfway and continuing running it while letting the first end go, or by marking how far you have measured on the floor or wall, and start a new measurement. If you would not like to draw on the floor, you can position a pointy object like a pencil there. You should avoid dead places where the piece of furniture won't be able to go like electric sockets. Also don't forget to take the height of the space and the item into account wherever the ceiling is uneven like spaces under the stairs.

Our philosophy

We aim to allow everyone to live comfortably even if they only have a small space they call home. We scan multiple webshops for thousands of tables, cabinets, bookcases, shoe cabinets, beds, sofas and more by size, to find just the right one for you to go in that unused corner and turn it into some closet space, or to find that extra long bed that is still narrow enough to squeeze through the door. From the kitchen to the bedroom, don't live next to furniture - buy furniture that lives with you.

We also operate in many other regions. You can look for 100cm wide hobs in Australia.
