How much clearance should one leave around a tumble dryer?
Furniture Ferret: Most importantly, ensure that when positioning a tumble dryer you follow all the safety regulations and instructions that come with the tumble dryer, including venting areas and safety clearances. There should also be enough room left, usually behind the machine, for cables and pipes. But from a usability point of view, you require enough room in front of a tumble dryer to be able to open its door fully and use it. The minimum clearance for this is likely to be 80 cm, so for a 70 cm deep tumble dryer you need 110 cm in total. Also consider that in many cases you will need to open the door completely, to the side of the machine, so placing a tumble dryer next to a wall may cause problems.

But it is clear that in nature, it signals danger and importance, so you probably need to put it next to a calm colour to allow the eye to rest.
