Questions and answers

How can one search for TVs using their size?

Finding TVs in search engines on the Internet by size is not easy as search engines are best at finding words only. Also, when searching for TVs to fit a given space, somewhat narrower items would also suit. Even if some outlets allow searching for TVs by measurements, checking many outlets at the same time needs a different solution. Our systems scan many outlets on the Internet and list tens of thousands of products so you are able to buy the one that fits perfectly.

Can I order the 95cm wide TVs by price?

On the result pages there is the option to sort the results by their price (ascending or descending), or relevance. Click or tap on the button just above the first result, after "Order by", to change how the results are ordered. Ordering by relevance shows the TV at the top that contains most of the search terms, while ordering by price shows the cheapest or most expensive TV at the top. Change the order to "Price: low to high" to see the cheapest 95cm wide TVs available on Furniture Ferret.

How to use colour psychology when choosing a TV?

If you have the option to choose between different colours for a TV that fits your space, it is useful to know how different colours work together. The two things to consider for everything colour is balance and associations. Balance means that the colours in your space should ideally be coordinated in some way, so that the space looks like a unit instead of a random collection of elements. This can be achieved by using a colour wheel, and choosing colours that are either quite close to each other (colours that are only different in lightness or intensity do go together, but slight variations in the actual tone can also be fine), or relatively far, for example on opposite sides of the wheel (giving you complementary colours like blue and yellow) or on different thirds (for example, cyan-orange-purple). Associations with and emotions connected to colours are also important to keep in mind, and there are many lists for these from those by 19th-century Impressionist painters to modern interior design guides. In all likelihood these emotions are cultural and learnt, which means that they can be quite different in different cultures or for different people. The associations are even often contradictory, making it even more difficult to use them as a guide. Blue is often associated with productivity, but also calmness, stability and even sadness. Green is undoubtedly the colour of nature, and is said to be associated with safety, luck and envy (though in other cultures this latter is yellow instead). Yellow is always a shouty colour and can mean warmth, brightness, energy and attention (likely evoking the sun), except when it is dark and becomes brown, when it is thought to be relaxing and comfortable. Red is thought of as the colour of friendship, energy, leadership, desire and revenge, which is a very wide range of feelings. But it is clear that in nature, it means danger or importance, so it should be put next to a neutral colour to allow the eye to rest. These associations are so varied that these guidelines all seem to boil down to just one piece of advice: pause and consider what the colour means for you.

Our philosophy

We want to allow every one of us to live comfortably even if they only own a small area they call home. We search the Internet for thousands of desks, cabinets, bookcases, storage units, beds, sofas and more by size, to find just the right one for you to go in that unused corner and turn it into a practical office, or to find that extra long bed that is still narrow enough to squeeze through the bedroom door. From the kitchen to the living room, don't just live around furniture - choose furniture that lives with you.

We also help customers in other countries. You can look for 95cm wide tvs in Australia or 38 inch wide tvs in the US.
